Bo-Hi The groove which runs the length of the blade on both sides, sometimes referred to as the blood grove
Habaki The typically brass piece of the sword which is located at the blade end of the sword handle, used to hold the sword in place as well as provide an area for the sword to meet the sheathe
Saya The Scabbard of a sword
Tsuka-Ito The handle wrap of the sword
Tsuba The guard of a sword, which protects the hands
Fuchi/Kashira The metal pieces that make up the pommel and the spacer between the sword guard and handle wrap
Menuki The metal ornaments located underneath the handle wrap of a sword
